Step 7: How to Set Up a Special or Package on Golden Chain

This article explains how to set up a special or package on Golden Chain that will be viewable on the website:

Login to the back-end of Golden Chain is: https://secure.web-rooms.co.nz/ 
Email address/Username: This will likely be the email address on your property website 
Password: Set password using the 'Reset your password...' option in the login page

1. Once logged in go to the "Room Types" page 
2. Click "Add New" to create the special or package
3. For "Room Type Name" put the name of the special or package then click "SAVE"
4. You will then be taken to the “Room Type Description” page, where you can add details about the special or package, such as what is included. Refer to "Step 3: Room Types and Room Descriptions" on how to add photos and descriptions for the special or package
5. On the “Room Type Description” page, you will also need to set the “Type of Room Type.” In this case, choose either Special or Package, then click “SAVE”
6. You will then be taken back to the Room Types page. Click “Edit” on the special or package you just created
7. You will now be on the Room Type Settings page. Here, you will set the data linking so your package or special has linked availability to an existing room type, allowing it to be booked. Select “Hybrid”
   

8. Select the "Availability Source" and "Source Room Type"

   

9. Set the "Other Concept Linking" then click "SAVE"
   
10. Go to the “Worksheet” to set the rate for the package or special, define any minimum stay requirements, and apply any date restrictions for availability
11. Check that the package or special is set up as expected on the Golden Chain website
